About the Artist
To Discover Beauty, To Learn and Inspire, To Journey Into Art!

Patricia Rios was born in Chihuahua, Mexico. Even at a young age, her creativity was recognized. Unknowingly, she was taking steps toward a life-long love for art.
A path toward the fine arts solidified when, in her thirties, she had the financial opportunity as well as the time to take art classes at Mesa community college. After MCC, Pat was elated when the Scottsdale Artists School opened its doors, giving Pat yet another opportunity to pursue this much-desired "education with the masters."
Since the early 80’s, Pat has attended innumerable workshops at this now premier art school: www.scottsdleartistschool.org. She has studied with some of the finest artists in the country including: Phil Beck, Matt Smith, Loren Entz, Ken Auster, Greg Kreutz, John Burton, Gabor Svagrik, Clayton Beck, III, Judi Betts, Nancy Chaboun, Linda Glover Gooch, John Michael Carter, Ron Hicks, Carolyn Anderson, Jim Daly, Ned Muller, Henry Stinson, Ted Nuttall, Stan Miller, John Budicin, George Stickland, Dan Goozeé, Mike Maczuga, Albert Handell and others.
Pat says, “I sense that God is using all these incredible workshops and teachers to educate me about the many layers of art, His revelation, His will, and His purpose for THE GIFT.”
For Pat Rios, her art education and professional journey will continue indefinitely. Her goal is to keep evolving as an artist, to inspire others who are at the beginning of their art journey, and to take the viewer along for the joy ride.
